Final Fantasy X-2's story follows the character Yuna from as she seeks to resolve political conflicts in the fictional world of Spira before it leads to war.
My model Catherine flew into town for a visit and wanted to have a shoot. She hadn't done much modelling work in the past, but was always keen to listen to my ideas and contribute her own. The location was in a studio with wonderful vintage furniture, hard wooden floors, brick walls with decor scattered around the scene.
The weather that day was perfect, and while my primary lightsource was natural, I used a reflector to gain that secondary lightsource. It was also the first time I had used my flashgun, but may have to use it more sparingly next time. Being in a photostudio, I had a playground of lights and softboxes to play with, but didn't get around to it.
My intention in post-production involved recreating a quieter ambience with subdued, desaturated colors that were reminescent to the quieter moments of the game. Despite the gun-wielding skills with a revealing neo-modern fashion sense, Yuna still had the more sensitive side of the girl which appears to be lost from the first game, Final Fantasy X!
